Intenz Classic Celosia
This flower has a vibrant color on spiky blooms and sought-after texture. It is versatile and a low-maintenance plant with high appeal that produces flowers for a long time. It prefers full to mostly sunny locations in well-drained soil.
Limelight Hydragenea
Blooms behind the traditional garden hydrangeas in June through July. This panicle
hydrangea has a cone-shaped bloom and can grow in more sunny locations. It reaches 6’ high and prefers light afternoon shade and well-drained soil.
Little Gem Southern Magnolia
A slow-growing cultivar of the Magnolia grandiflora that is sometimes called a dwarf. This cultivar has a compact, upright growth habit that can reach 30-35’ high and 8-12’ wide and flowers at two to three years old.

Henry’s Garnet Virginia Willow
The flowers are 4-5” white racemes (some varieties have a pinkish tinge) and have moderate fragrance. Flowering occurs over a four to six-week period in Spring right after azaleas complete their blooms. It prefers more sun than shade but will grow in varying locations. It is best for its soil pH to be slightly acidic.
SunPatiens (Compact Varieties)
A bedding plant that thrives in our Louisiana Summer heat and humidity and can be grown in full sun. This low-maintenance plant is available in blush pink, deep rose, coral, white, orange, magenta, and lilac and is 3’ tall and wide.
Supertunia Vista Bubblegum Petunia
Can be a warm-season or cool-season bedding plant in Louisiana. They can be planted in the Fall for a beautiful show in the Spring. These plants have reasonable cold hardiness and usually last until June. They are fantastic landscape plants that can reach up to 12-24” high by 24-36” wide.

Evolution Series Salvia
This provides abundant flowers Spring through Fall on compact plants. It should be planted in a well-drained bed in full to part sun. Plants of the white-flowering variety grow to 10-12” tall, while the violet-blooming variety will grow to 14” tall.
Serenita Raspberry Angelonia
A lower growing version of the Serena variety and blooms Spring through Fall. It is a compact grower, reaching to 12-14” high. It is considered the Summer snapdragon and has become one of the most popular Summer bedding plants.
Homestead Purple Verbena
A hardy, low-maintenance perennial with rich, numerous clusters of deep purple blooms. Blooms cover a 3’ wide canopy of foliage twice annually – peak bloom being mid-February through May and then another flowering during Fall and grows 10-12” high. Verbenas need full sun and well-drained soil for best success.

Henna Coleus
It is a great choice for colorful bedding plants with proven performance in Louisiana’s tough Summer growing conditions. The foliage is highly fringed and sports shades of gold, chartreuse, and reddish-purple on top and reddish-purple underneath. Plants are 24-30” high and do best planted in full to partial sun.
Leslie Ann Camellia
A hardy shrub that has bi-colored double flower petals and sometimes tri-colored with blends of pink, blush, and white. It is a mostly upright grower that will mature at 8’ high by 4-5’ wide. Blooms start in late October and continue until mid or late December.
Fireworks Fountain Grass
A new red-foliaged ornamental grass. This is an annual or perennial in the greater Baton Rouge area. Plants need full sun and will be 4’ tall in the landscape by Fall. Planted in clumps of three to five, flower plumes start mid-Summer and continue until first frost.

Rabbiteye Blueberry
Beautiful semi-evergreen shrubs that are native to the southeastern United States. Delicate white bell-shaped flowers appear in the Spring. Blueberry fruits are ready for picking from late May thru June. Blueberries are a good source of dietary fiber and a very good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Manganese.
Flutterby Petite Tutti Fruitti Pink Buddleia
Also known as butterfly bush, these flowers are a wonderful addition to any landscape, adding color and attracting a myriad of butterflies during the warm season of the year. They are non-invasive and stays small (24-30” high). They prefer a well-drained location in full or partial sun and are very drought tolerant once established.
Mesa Gaillardia
Also called as blanket flower, this herbaceous perennial returns each year with bright bicolor, peach, and yellow flowers. It grows in full to part sun and is 14-16” high by 16-18” wide. It should be planted in early Fall for cool season thru warm-season bloom.

Kauai Torenia
A warm-season bedding plant and adds bright, bold color to shady areas of the landscape. They grow 10-12” tall and wide and come in beautiful, bold colors.
Luna Hibiscus
A warm-season deciduous perennial that returns each Spring to provide excitement to the landscape. It doesn’t disappoint with very large 7-8” blooms in colors of red, rose, white, pink, and pink swirl from late Spring thru Fall. It grows 3’ high by 2-3’ wide and should be planted in mid to late Spring.
Diamonds Blue Delphinium
Electric-blue flowers cover the plant from Winter through Spring. It has more vigor, more stamina, and more flowers than other delphiniums, making it truly a Louisiana Super Plant. It grows in full to part sun and is 14-16” high by 12-14” wide and should be planted from October to February.

Drift Rose
Wonderful, low-maintenance plant that is tough, disease-resistant, and winter-hardy. The low, spreading habit of Drift roses makes them perfect for small gardens and combination planters. Drift roses come in a multitude of colors including pink, coral, red, peach, apricot, sweet (clear pink), and popcorn (whitish yellow).
Willow Oak
Fast-growing, deciduous native oak that has an upright, oval growth habit. Adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, this Louisiana Super Plant makes an excellent shade tree for use in the urban landscape. It grows in full sun and is 80’ tall by 50’ wide.
Aphrodite Althea
A Summer-flowering deciduous shrub. This vigorous grower can reach 8-10’ high by 6’ wide. They have very large rosy-red, single-ruffled blooms with magenta throats covering the plant from late Spring thru mid-Summer. Soil moisture is important for continuous blooming, so provide regular watering and mulch.

Bandana Lantanas
A warm-season bedding plant requiring full sun and only grows at 20-24" tall and 24" wide. It maintains a tight and dense mound and yet is heat, humidity, and drought tolerant. The very large flowers cover the plant from Summer through Fall.
Little Ruby Alternanthera
It offers an alternative to traditional blooming bedding plants. The beautiful foliage in shades of burgundy and purple adds rich color to the landscape and is consistently attractive throughout the season. This tough little plant is heat and humidity tolerant and has a low moisture requirement.
Conversation Piece Azalea
Flower size can be nearly 4 inches across. This azalea is a repeat bloomer, blooming in mid-Spring and again in Fall. It has small to medium growth with low, broad, moderately dense branching.

Evergreen Sweetbay Magnolia
This flowering evergreen tree produces creamy white, fragrant flowers in mid-Spring and sporadically throughout the Summer. Used in foundation plantings, near patios or at the edge of woodland areas. It should be grown in full sun to part shade and grows 50’ high by 30’ wide.
Sorbet Violas
A charming, cool-season annual that produces masses of delicate, bright flowers on compact plants. It has excellent overwintering and cold hardiness that allow planting this beautiful plant for color to your Fall, Winter, and early Spring garden.
Baby Wing Begonia
This vigorous plant has an upright, mounded growth that is covered with blooms from late Spring through frost. It sports masses of pink or white flowers on upright, 12-15” plants by 10-12” wide. It is best grown in partial shade, especially in the afternoon.

Penny Mac Hydrangea
A wonderful flowering shrub that produces abundant mophead flowers (large, rounded clusters) of deep-blue or pink. Its major bloom is in May, but expect blooms through Fall on this repeat bloomer. It requires part shade and grows 4-6’ tall by 3-4’ wide.
Senorita Rosalita Cleome
This great plant blooms from late Spring through frost. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are highly attracted to the never-ending lavender-pink flowers. This warm-season plant likes full sun for best flowering. Plants get 36-48” high by 24” wide.
Belinda's Dream Rose
This rose has an attractive shrubby growth habit. Bushes reach heights of 5-6’ with an equal spread, but can be easily maintained at 4’. The flowers are medium-pink and fully double with the form of hybrid tea roses.

Redbor Kale
Becoming increasingly popular as Fall bedding plants for Louisiana. It is an edible kale and is a Louisiana Super Plant. It has great cold tolerance for the coldest winters and will last longer into spring than other kale varieties.
Southern Sugar Maple
It is a medium spreading tree that provides reliable Fall color, even in South Louisiana. It appears to "fire-up" as the leaves turn yellow-orange to scarlet in the Fall. It grows in full sun to partial shade and grows 30-40’ high by 20-25’ wide.
Swan Columbine
A cool-season annual that produces large flowers and in a wide range of colors. There are many varieties of colors such as blue white, burgundy white, pink yellow, red white, rose white, violet white, white and yellow. They grow in full sun to part shade and are 20-24” high by 12” wide.

Butterfly Pentas
Provides great Summer color for your landscape beds and is distinctive for its compact growth habit and flowers larger than other pentas. Superb heat and humidity tolerance make this Summer bedding plant a reliable choice
Frostproof Gardenia
An evergreen shrub producing fragrant, double, velvety white flowers heavily in May and then sporadically through the Summer. It is more cold-hardy than other gardenias. It grows to 5’ high and 4’ wide and is considered a compact gardenia.
Serena Angelonia
Outstanding Summer bedding plants that can be relied upon for dependable garden performance through the hottest Summer weather. Masses of flower spikes cover the plants from late Spring to frost. The four soft colors purple, lavender, pink and white in this series blend together beautifully.

Shoal Creek Vitex
The 12-inch, fragrant flower spikes of deep lavender blue provide a wonderful addition to Summer color. The flowers appear in May/June with a second flush of flowers in August. This beautiful small multi-trunked tree grows to 10-15’ high and wide.
Amazon Dianthus
This series has three distinct colors, Neon Purple, Neon Cherry, and Rose Magic and are brilliant and eye-catching. They grow from 18-36” high by 10-16” wide. Plant in the Fall, and they will bloom through the Fall and intermittently during the Winter.
Camelot Foxglove
Includes four colors – cream, white, rose, and lavender. It is best planted in October through November or in February through early March. First bloom will last four to six weeks, with a secondary bloom lasting another month.

ShiShi Gashira Camellia
A slow-growing shrub and is the most widely planted and popular camellias for Louisiana landscapes that have been used successfully for decades. It typically grows to 3’ high. It produces dark pink flowers 2-3” across and are produced in abundance from October to early January just in time for the holidays.
